You'll find a lot of different types at the Hidden Door, but really, it's a bear bar and the scene is dominated by friendly, ultra-masculine men.

Did I miss something
(cant change the headline) Things have changed a bit since my 1st review. It was a nice bear crowd 30s and up and I love the patio area, it's one of the best in Dallas I think. It's definitely more inviting than the Dallas Eagle although the establishment isnt as nice. The bartenders are friendly but the drinks are always mixed poorly. Cash only is my only complaint here. I've never had trouble parking and security is always present at the door.
My favorite place to hang when I visit Dallas. Laid back, down to earth people. Mostly a Levis sort of crowd. A little dark and a few guys might think it's a little seedy, but it adds up to great vibe.
This is our favorite Dallas watering hole. Anything goes! Robin and Brian are the best bartenders as they tend to remember their clientele's preferred drinks. Music is provided by a jukebox so download the TouchTunes app to play your favorite drinking songs. Very laidback atmosphere with no attitude. Cash only but they do have an ATM on site. Pool tables and a dart game complement the dive bar setup. Always fun on Fridays, Saturdays and Sunday afternoons for the beer bust. I only wish they had a dance floor. Other than that, I highly recommend it to travelers who just want to relax and get to know the locals.
A fun hole in the wall.
This is your true, fun, "anything goes" hole in the wall bar. You'll like it.
The local hangout for everyone.......
I love the laid back atmosphere, people speak to each other without that "are you trying to pick me up" look. Most of the crowd is older and so the games are the same but more fun because the impressing someone part isn't a big factor. So if you're being "hard to get" it isn't an insult or an attitude it's all in the game....................and the bartenders are the best!
